What has facebloke caricatures been up to in the last few weeks?

I am dreadful at updating facebook and twitter! There I’ve said it and that’s that, but in the last few weeks I have also neglected this blog. So I thought I would put together a whistle stop tour of things I’ve done in the last few weeks! I mean fancy not blogging about my caricature adventure at Charlton Athletic Football Club or my visit to Brocket Hall….. shameful, so here’s a quick whiz through..

What a great start to the year, two wedding fairs in as many weeks. I love being able to show brides and grooms to be what fun a caricaturist can bring to their special day. It’s amazing how many people see me drawing and then want it done, I think most people wait to see what I draw before deciding – especially at a wedding fair in front of people they don’t know. When they see I my drawings are not unkind and actually flattering they jump at the chance to have theirs done.

Because it has been snowing I decided to play about with some watercolours for a change…not strictly caricature but fun.

Attitude

For a caricaturist eyes are always special, get them right and the rest will follow

Caricature Company Presents

I have been working with these great people in London on a regular basis producing caricatures for people who’s contracts have come to an end. I thought I would share some of the more recent caricatures with you.

These are studio based caricatures, so the client sends me a few photos of the person with some bullet points of what they like doing, favourite foods and anything funny and I create the picture around it.

Friday night in the Artsbar Wokingham was a lively event, I did caricatures for members of staff, their friends and some very cool customers and clients that were in on Friday night.

The evening was great fun, everyone enjoyed seeing me doodle and creating caricatures that they could take home at the end of the night. It’s funny how many people initially say ‘I don’t want mine done’ but then when they see me drawing others they realise I am not poking fun but getting a likeness and making it amusing, they change their minds and jump to the front of the queue. I was told by several people on the night that they intended to get a frame so they could hang their new

Don’t be shy – book me for your event, everyone will have a good time and people go home with something to keep from the evening.

Caricature Bookings for Christmas Already!

Can it really be that people are booking for Christmas already? I guess it’s that time of year, seems to come round quicker each year. If you haven’t got anything exciting going on at your business Christmas party and your business is in Wokingham, Berkshire or London why not give me a call.

I do find a crowd gathers when I draw at events, everyone enjoys the process and it provides a constant form of entertainment throughout the event.

Arsene Wenger Caricature

This quick sketch of Arsene Wenger gives you a good idea of the style I use at events for black and white – these are the fastest caricatures and allow me to do more people. Of course I can also do colour, but these take slightly longer.

I have also added some more images to the gallery, these are selected at random so keep popping back and taking a look you may become a star!

Recycled theme for a caricature

I had a commission of Bob, he sold his business which was recycling toner cartridges and he recently purchased a Range Rover Sport, oh and he is partial to Jammie Dodgers….aren’t we all.

This caricature was a studio piece, created with acrylics.
