I’ve not taken any photos to share from any parties this year, it’s just been too busy so here is a few from the past – My new year’s resolution is to take more photos of the places I work!

There was a private gathering of art lovers who were entertained by a living statue, singer and me whilst browsing some stunning works of art. What a fantastic place to draw caricatures surrounded by some of the world’s most talented artwork – I was in heaven! Whitewall galleries (link to facebook) are stunning places to visit, the staff really know the art world and are happy to help you even if you are new to buying art, there is also something for all budgets so I would urge you to visit Whitewall and see for yourself .

With the Hens moving on to their next club, the Indigo crowd arrived and I was in full drawing mode from the start, they were absolutely fantastic fun  I don’t remember stopping all night, but it went so quickly as they were all up for a laugh – they all had stunning hair cuts too, so if your looking for hairdressers give them a try.

I worked on the Icon Neon stand, drawing people whilst they waited to talk to the owner about his fantastic neon signs. It’s a great form of entertainment and goes down well on a stand. My down time allowed me to wander round the show and take in all the sights and sounds from a golden classic period. The cars are just superb and the fact that everyone dresses up you get a feel for how it may have felt back then.

I was one floor up and had the joy of drawing people with the I8 in the background, I did have to take a look before I left and it truly is fantastic!

I had lots of customers to draw, it’s always nice to put a smile on peoples faces!

Here’s a photo of my new studio clock, one pic in the dusk and one showing it when it got darker.I now have Amanda at 5pm and Steve 11pm, with others from Heart FM, Reading FC passing the time of day with Maggie Smith at wine o-clock – I just feels better seeing pictures instead of numbers !

I can have the clock with or without the neon tube active, it looks fantastic and puts a glow around the studio, I chose blue but other colours are available. The guys at www.iconneon.com have loads of ready made signs, clocks or sculptures to choose from so whether you like pool, dinking or motorcycles there is something for you including iconic brand names like Coke – mine was a custom job – All EU standards are fully met, the packaging is excellent and the clocks make great presents I am happy to recommend.
